Sandbach travelled to Bromsgrove for the first time in their history for basically what was a mid-table dead-rubber game.
That’s not to say that bragging rights weren’t at stake, not to mention revenge for Sandbach who lost the first meeting by a single point following the craziest refereeing we’ve seen for some years.
Like all Midlands teams at this level Bromsgrove were bigger and heavier than their Sandbach counterparts, although as long as the technique is good that shouldn’t matter too much.
