Saudi Arabia will provide Ukraine with $400 million in humanitarian aid. This was reported by the Saudi state agency SPA.

The allocation of financial assistance became known following telephone conversations between the Crown Prince of Arabia Mohammed bin Salman and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

At the beginning of the conversation, Zelensky congratulated Mohammed bin Salman on his appointment as prime minister of the kingdom and thanked him for voting on the UN General Assembly resolution, which condemned pseudo-referendums and the annexation of Ukrainian territories.

The Saudi prince stressed that the kingdom is committed to the principles of the UN Charter and international law, as well as respect for state sovereignty and the principles of good neighborliness.

Zelensky expressed gratitude and appreciation to Mohammed bin Salman for his willingness to continue mediation efforts aimed at ending the war with Russia.

Saudi Arabia's humanitarian initiatives show the desire the crown prince to alleviate the suffering of Ukrainians and prove the commitment of Saudi Arabia to end the war as soon as possible, the Ukrainian leader noted.

Zelensky confirmed the conversation with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

“Thanked for supporting the territorial integrity of Ukraine and our resolution in the UN General Assembly. We agreed to cooperate on the release of prisoners of war. We agreed to provide macro-financial support to Ukraine,” the president wrote on Twitter.
