    Study participants who followed these guidelines had a 20-21% (moderately active) or 19% (intensely active) lower risk of all-cause mortality. However, for those who engaged in moderate activity up to 600 minutes per week, the risk was reduced even more by 26-31%.

    “Our results confirm current recommendations for physical activity and also suggest that the maximum effect can be achieved with doing medium to high levels of moderate or vigorous activity, or a combination of both,” Li emphasized.

    Some studies show that for those who perform at least 3 times more exercise than recommended, there is a risk of overdoing it. As for the new study, the researchers found no health risks in those people who exercised above the norm, nor did they see any additional benefits. In other words, a large amount of exercise does not cause any harm, but also does not bring much benefit. At least according to this particular study.
