Serious accident in Granby: a woman fights for her life
The three injured were taken to hospital.
A woman is fighting for her life after being involved in a serious collision which occurred on Wednesday in Granby, around 7:10 a.m. L& #x27;29-year-old motorist from Farnham was traveling on Route Jean-Lapierre with an 18-month-old baby.
The lady's vehicle collided with that of x27;a 46-year-old from Granby, near the intersection of boul. Industrial.
The Police Department of the City of Granby has opened an investigation, but it seems that a poorly cleared truck could explain the tragedy. Among the hypotheses considered is that there is snow which could have come off a heavy vehicle causing the deviation of an oncoming vehicle, explains Prevention, Media and Community Relations Officer, Catherine St-Jean.
No trucks that could be linked to the hypothesis put forward have been identified at this time.
In total, three people suffered serious injuries. They were taken to hospital.
Route Jean Lapierre is closed between boul. Industrial and Cowie Street for a few hours. Vehicles are diverted onto Bernard Road.
