
Shooting in East York leaves one dead and one injured
Police were called around 7:15 p.m. Saturday.
One person died following a shooting Saturday evening according to Toronto Police.
The services of Emergency services were called around 7:15 p.m. to the Victoria Park Avenue and Crescent Town Road areas.
Upon arrival, Detective Ted Lioumanis says officers found a person outside an apartment building with obvious signs of gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Homicide Unit has been assigned to investigate.
Police say that a suspect fled in a vehicle, but did not give a description. Inspector Ted Lioumanis said he had no information at the moment on the possible suspects.
Shortly before 11 a.m., the police also indicated that they had found a second victim further . She has serious but not life-threatening injuries.
