IN BRIEF

  • Slimane, singer, is accused of assault and sexual harassment by technicians on his tour, with a guard at view recently revealed by Gilles Verdez on January 27.
  • Witnesses have provided videos and recordings to investigators, and the investigation could result in a dismissal, prosecution, or a judicial investigation.
  • Despite the accusations, Slimane continues his tour and shares a video on Instagram, suggesting that he remains focused on his music.

For several months, Slimane has been the center of attention. The singer is targeted by complaints of assault and sexual harassment, from technicians who worked on his tour. Last week, the artist was heard during police custody and it was Gilles Verdez who made some revelations on this subject. On the set of Touche pas &agrave my post this Monday, January 27, he first explained: “For the moment, his entourage does not want to communicate on what he said”. Remarks which are therefore kept secret.

According to information from Gilles Verdez, Slimane's hearing was very complicated. “The two complainants were heard before and the investigators also heard a lot of witnesses who arrived with videotapes, recordings, about one of the two complaints”, explains the columnist. But what elements were provided by witnesses ? Are these images proving Slimane's guilt ? Or, on the contrary, highlighting his innocence ? Can these excerpts shake up the investigation? ?

Slimane: a singer targeted by two complaints

According to Gilles Verdez, there are only three possibilities now. “The investigation is almost closed”, he said before adding: “Closed without further action, prosecution or opening of a judicial investigation. Both complaints are serious”. In addition, as Cyril Hanouna's columnist indicates, Slimane's hearing took place several days ago. Since then, the singer has been on tour. “By having authorized this hearing on Monday, justice allowed him to leave for his international tour”, he explained.

These are technicians who worked on the singer's tour who are at the origin of these two complaints. In the columns of Médiapart, their testimonies were revealed and, according to that of the first, the facts would have occurred “at the end of the concert, in the presence of several witnesses whose list is attached to the complaint”, we could read. Many witnesses allegedly filmed a scene during which Slimane allegedly tried to get closer. “Slimane's brother intervened to put an end to the sexual assault and asked the witnesses to delete the recordings made at using their smartphone, is then indicated.

Slimane: back on tour, the singer shares a mysterious video

Following his audition, Slimane was able to find his audience again. On his Instagram account, he shared a video in which we can see him during his Cupidon Tour, in London. In the heart of a stripped-down decor, he covers the song L’hymne à l'amour by Edith Piaf. A publication that has no legend but which suggests that the singer wants to convey an important message: far from accusations, he devotes himself to his passion, music.
