Little by little, the Nothing brand is making a place for itself in the highly competitive smartphone market. Founded by Carl Pei, one of the creators of OnePlus, it does not yet ship volumes comparable to those of Samsung, Apple or Xiaomi. Nevertheless, it can be said that Nothing ended the year on a high note. According to Bloomberg sources, Nothing has doubled its turnover, to reach $500 million in 2024.

And its total revenues since the start of its activities would now exceed one billion dollars. Furthermore, Nothing would now seek to expand and according to the American agency, it would seek to raise at least 100 million dollars to finance this expansion.

Nothing wants to play in the big leagues

2025 could therefore mark the beginning of a new chapter in the development of Nothing, especially since according to rumors, it would finally consider launching a flagship under Android. As a reminder, Nothing started by marketing wireless headphones, which stood out thanks to their transparent design. Subsequently, the brand launched itself on the smartphone market, but avoided the high-end segment. As a reminder, the Nothing Phone (2) was marketed at 729 euros at its launch.

But this year, Nothing could be going upmarket. At least, that’s what’s suggested by a post by Evleaks on the social network X. A few days ago, he shared what appears to be a message from Carl Pei, the boss of Nothing, to the company’s employees. And in this message, Pei allegedly announced that Nothing will launch its “flagship”, the Nothing Phone (3). “It will introduce revolutionary innovations in the user interface, taking our first step towards our AI-powered platform. Our goal is to redefine the user experience of personal computing devices ” by creating technology that knows you, makes your life easier, and is there where you are,” Carl Pei also reportedly wrote in his message.

In it, the Nothing boss also reportedly announced an improvement in the company’s ability to develop its products, particularly in terms of software and cameras.

  • The Nothing brand is said to have doubled its turnover in 2024 and according to a Bloomberg article, it is looking to raise $100 million to expand its activities
  • The company is also planning to launch a “flagship” in 2025
  • This product should stand out thanks to its technical specifications, but also thanks to a unique software interface
