South - West: a body discovered in a burnt-out vehicle

An autopsy will be performed on the victim to determine their identity and cause of his death.

The Service de police de la Ville de Montréal is investigating a suspicious death following the discovery of a body in a burned-out vehicle, Sunday evening, in the South-West sector.

A call was made to 911 in the evening to report a vehicle on fire in a parking lot near Saint-Antoine Ouest and Versailles streets.

Once the fire was extinguished, the police discovered an inanimate body in the trunk of the vehicle.

A security perimeter was set up and the investigation was entrusted to the major crimes section. The vehicle will be analyzed and an autopsy will be performed on the victim to determine his identity and the cause of his death.

In another incident that occurred on Sunday evening, the SPVM carried out an intervention in the Ville-Marie sector, near rue Saint-Timothée and boulevard De Maisonneuve, where shots were heard around 9:30 p.m.

According to first information obtained, the shots were fired in the direction of a vehicle at a gas station located between Saint-Timothée and Atateken streets, on De Maisonneuve boulevard.

No victims have been found and no arrests have been made at this time in relation to this event.

Casing casings were found on the ground and bullet holes were discovered on a vehicle and on a commercial building.

A security perimeter has been set up to allow the police to analyze the s last supper.
