The Stéphane Plaza affair has consequences on its network

Since its launch in 2015, the Stéphane Plaza network has expanded throughout France with the opening of 660 agencies. However, these are in danger. On Monday, February 3, journalist Benjamin Glaise received Sarah Laasir, a lawyer specializing in real estate law, in Sud Radio.

Sarah Laasir spoke about the consequences of the affair for franchisees. “They are facing a hemorrhage within their teams. They have a lot of negotiators who leave their agencies, under the pretext of this affair. In addition, they are often confronted with questions, remarks (…) on the ground, when they do prospecting” she explained.

Several franchisees want to leave the network

If the agencies of the St&eacutephane Plaza network were able to benefit from his notoriety to develop, they are now suffering the consequences of her trial. Sarah Laasir thus revealed that she is in contact with “dozens of franchisees” who are thinking of leaving the network.

According to the lawyer, many franchisees “want to remove the brand to continue their activities in a peaceful manner”. Their relationship with the network, 51% owned by the M6 group, is however “framed by a contract”. To get out of it, franchisees would therefore have to face “financial conditions”. For the moment, however, most are waiting to know the verdict of the facilitator's trial.
