Stéphane Plaza ruiné ? Lâché par tous avant son verdict, l’animateur pourrait perdre très très gros

© Bestimage For Le Figaro, franchisees of the Plaza real estate agencies testified. And they don't want to hear about the host anymore.

IN BRIEF

  • Since the scandal affecting Stéphane Plaza, the latter finds himself in a bad financial situation
  • Indeed, some of his franchise partners no longer want to work with him
  • Some are asking him for large sums of money

He was one of the most emblematic hosts of M6. Before the accusations of domestic violence against him, Stéphane Plaza éwas the most famous real estate agent in France. With many real estate agencies and TV programs that he hosted, Karine Le Marchand's best friend was at the head of a small empire.

But since the accusations of two of his partners, which brought him before the justice, many of his professional partners are fleeing. Indeed, the franchisees of his real estate agencies are doing everything they can to leave St&eacutephane Plaza's franchise. “My clients no longer want to hear about Stéphane Plaza and want to leave the real estate network”, confides Me Valentin Simonnet to Figaro

St&eacutephane Plaza dropped by the other real estate agents in his franchise

The lawyer represents “several dozen franchisees of St&eacutephane Plaza Immobilier”. It all starts in October 2023, when several real estate agents ask & Stéphane Plaza a “moral and financial damage” following the scandal in which the host is embroiled. “Buyers are often women who are very sensitive to this kind of business and generally have the last word in real estate”, specifies the lawyer specializing in in real estate law.

“I had to sign a mandate to sell a 300 m2 villa for 1.3 million euros, but the owner refused to close the deal because the signing was to take place the day after the revelation of a potential affair with “Stephane Plaza” and she had the same problem (domestic violence, editor's note) with her ex-husband”, said at Le Figaro a real estate agent from Var.

The host could lose everything

Thus, the host is abandoned on all sides. Today, “my clients who have decided to continue their activity because most of them have three years left on their contract (out of five years), are suspended the decision of the court”, explains Me Valentin Simonnet.

“If St&eacutephane Plaza is convicted, the franchisor (the management of St&eacutephane Plaza Immobilier) is in total breach of the franchise agreement because it has not respected its obligations of support and notoriety to the franchisees who now fear that the affair will harm their local reputation and their business. This is a contractual breach”, the lawyer specifies. He is thus demanding accountability and action from the franchise. “Management requires franchisees not to harm the network's image. Why, in the opposite case, would it not be accountable?”. Thus, the real estate agent could lose everything.
