Since the first ZEvent organized by ZeratoR in 2016, charity events on Twitch have been multiply. This weekend, content creators mobilized for Doctors Without Borders through the Stream for Humanity event. This charity marathon aimed to help victims of armed conflicts in Palestine, Congo, Sudan and than in Lebanon.
Organized by Aminematue, this event was an opportunity for content creators to get involved for a good cause. The marathon ended with a football match that left its mark. Football greats were there, such as Gérard Piqué and Adil Rami. If you missed Stream for Humanity, we'll summarize the event with 3 key figures.
There were 26 content creators who got involved during Stream for Humanity in a stadium transformed into a streaming set for the occasion. Among all the participating videographers, there were big names from the YouTube/Twitch sphere. For example, Squeezie, the second French YouTuber, Inoxtag whose documentary Kaisenshook YouTube last September and broke all records, Maghla (who has just surpassed one million subscribers on YouTube) and the essential Gotaga, answered Aminematue's call this weekend. Enough to create an anthology event. Especially with lots of surprises for Internet users…
200% Deposit Bonus up to €3,000 180% First Deposit Bonus up to $20,000This is the amount collected at the end of the event, this Sunday evening. Content creators and their communities were particularly generous, allowing almost 3.5 million euros to be collected for Doctors Without Borders. The goal was for videographers to join forces to support the inhabitants of four regions in conflict: Palestine, the Republic of Congo, Sudan and Lebanon. The association provides care, water and food as well as medical and psychological help.
Although Stream for Humanity ended yesterday, the fundraiser was still open. Therefore, it is possible to make donations. Since the end of the event last night, the amount collected has exceeded the threshold of 3.5 million euros.
This is the duration of Stream for Humanity in hours. Indeed, the event started this Friday, January 17, 2025 at 8 p.m. and ended this Sunday, January 19, 2025 at 8 p.m. For two whole days, Internet users attended an event punctuated by challenges, games and moments of exchange between streamers and other content creators.
Each videographer had a “donation goal” to increase the kitty. For example, Aminematue called Paul Pogba when he reached the 100,000 euro mark.
Given the success of this initiative for a good cause, Aminematue said he was open to repeating the experience for other countries in need. Some Internet users wondered about the absence of Mayotte among the beneficiaries of this mobilization. However, Stream for Humanity was organized well before the tragedy.
