Apple Music and Apple TV+ will cost more

This is the first time Apple has raised prices for its services in Canada.

Tech giant Apple will increase the cost of subscriptions to its Apple Music and Apple TV+ platforms in Canada. Prices have gone up from $1 to $3 per month, depending on services and plan type.

The base price of Apple Music for an account from Apple Music. one-time listen will increase by $1 to $10.99 per month. The cost of access to the Apple TV+ platform will jump from $5.99 to $8.99 per month.

This is the first time that & #x27;Apple is raising prices for its services in Canada. The company says Apple Music's price increase is linked to higher licensing costs for broadcast rights.

The decision is announced as many major streaming platforms are looking for ways to grow revenue, amid inflation and rising film and TV production costs.

Similar price increases are planned by Apple internationally, including in the United States.
