It's official, the BreizhGo website has published it, people under 26 will travel for free this summer. Train, bus or boat, Brittany is offered to young people.
Once again, this summer, the entire public transport network will be free. No less than 50,000 free tickets per week will be offered. Between Saturday July 9 and Sunday August 28, there are therefore a total of 350,000 ticketswhich will be within easy reach of those under 26. Last year, 100,000 tickets had already allowed them to travel around Brittany. It was one of the campaign promises of Loïg Chesnais-Girard who was re-elected president of the Brittany Region in 2021. This measure would have allowed more than 40% of those who were able to benefit from it in 2021 to move, something that they wouldn't have done it without this help.
For this summer, the offer has been extended to holders of the BreizhGo Solidaire card. Uncompensated job seekers, beneficiaries of the ASS, RSA, AAH or ADA, if they are under 26, will therefore be able to take advantage of the free transports. “Middle and high school students, apprentices, students and holders of the BreizhGo Solidaire card aged under 26: everyone can benefit from Free BreizhGo Youth, from Saturday July 9 within the limit of available places. can we read on the BreizhGo website.
Conditions of free admission
As last year, you will have to book your ticket the day before of the day of departure. Proof of age will be requested during the trip. It is specified that in order to guarantee a quality service, the number of tickets will be limited. “A quota of places is offered each day on the various train, coach and boat routes of the BreizhGo network.” It is also indicated that more information will be given later. “All the practicalities for obtaining a ticket on the coaches, trains and boats of the BreizhGo network, will be published soon!“. A measure that will still cost the Brittany Region two million euros.
