Superman: is a series with Henry Cavill in preparation at DC?
James Gunn addressed rumors that a Superman series starring Henry Cavill was soon to see the light of day at DC.
It goes without saying, the reintroduction of Superman as Henry Cavill following the famous post-credits scene of Black Adam(ie, the only element worthy of interest in this formidable mercantile turd) has already caused a lot of ink to flow in the specialized columns. Of course, it didn't take much more to stir up the excitement of DCU aficionados, an excitement all the more fueled by the recent rumors circulating around a potential recovery of Man of Steel 2.
As if that weren't enough, Henry Cavill's departure from the Netflix series The Witcher has put things back a little more oil on the fire, thus leaving the door open to all possible and imaginable buzzes. A few whispers of a potential Superman-centric seriestraveled the wonderful world of the internet, prompting new DC Studios Co-CEO James Gunn to officially address the news.
Henry under contract ?
As a reminder, the British actor appeared for the first time in the iconic costume in 2013 with Man of Steel before hanging up his cape at the end of the very controversial Justice League . Zach Snyder's famous director's cut marked the character's last official (albeit non-canonical) appearance. Moreover, if Henry Cavill himself confirmed the return of Superman by means of a video before elaborating a little more on his future in the DCU,however, the latter is by no means under contract at the moment, which some fans seem to forget.
Also, when a Twitter account claims journalist claimed that “Henry Cavill's new contract included Superman television appearances“, it didn't take long for 1/the fans to get fired up and 2/James Gunn to quickly calm their ardor. The director and producer thus replied via his own account that unfortunately, no, none No such project is currently in the works.
I 'm not sure if you're purposely lying or being taken advantage of by someone lying to you, but, as I've stated on here before, NO ONE knows what's happening at DC Studios right now other than me & Peter. include writing up any new contracts for anyone at this point.

“I don't know if you're lying on purpose or if you've been deceived by someone else's lies, but as I've said here before, NO ONE knows what's going on right now within DC Studios other than me and Peter. Which includes drafting any contract.”
The message is therefore clear, crisp and precise. Cry, roll on the ground, it won't change anything. It will therefore be a question of taking your pain patiently before discovering what Gunn and Safran are preparing for the future of the DCU. The director of Guardians of the Galaxy having however recently promised “the biggest story ever seen”, as much to say that the latter is expected at the turn. And who knows, maybe a serial project featuring Superman will eventually see the light of day.
