Taken from life. After my father-in-law passed away, my husband took over the financing of his mother's expensive life. She never worked
My father-in-law recently passed away. He was a wonderful person.
He was my husband's biological father, and my brother-in-law and sister-in-law were from another man. Father-in-law always made good money. Mother-in-law never lacked anything. She always stayed at home and spent her husband's money. She always spent a lot. After the death of the father-in-law, the mother-in-law asked the question, who will support her?
Learned helplessness or the essence of laziness?
Since she had no seniority, she did not receive a pension and did not even think about work. My husband's younger brother was not yet fully financially independent, and my husband and his sister decided to take turns paying for my mother's expenses every month.
The fact is that all this has a very strong influence on our family. Since my mother-in-law constantly demands to be sent to a sanatorium, to be treated in the most expensive clinics and to buy luxurious clothes, I have to deny myself a lot. I've always worked, but now I'm on maternity leave. We don't have much money. I can't wait for my baby to grow up and get back to work. The husband gives half of his mother-in-law's salary and we have to be content with what we get.
It's so unfair: doesn't she really think about her grandchildren? How can you be so selfish and think only of yourself? I don't know how to explain this to my mother-in-law so that she spends less. After all, it is not necessary for her and her friends to go to sanatoriums every month. I tried to talk to my husband, explain, but he says that after my father's death, my mother fell into depression, they say that she is not feeling well and that she does all this because she wants to occupy her mind.
This interesting, but for some reason the mother-in-law doesn't think about distracting herself in any other way. For example, finding a job.
Take a look: Adam Zdrójkowski made a big slip-up during the New Year's Eve concert. Internet users only talk about it. Nobody was supposed to see this
