Teen Wolf: the film offers a trailer full of surprises for its big comeback

Paramount+ has finally unveiled a first trailer for its long-awaited Teen Wolf: The Movie, and teases the return of a major character.< /strong>

A friendly phenomenon spearheaded in 2011 by producer Jeff Davis, the Teen Wolf series and its 25-year-old teenagers knew captivate viewers until their final season in 2017. A season that has, moreover, largely left aficionados of the small supernatural band unsatisfied, and prompted them to demand loud and clear a renewal of the saga for a seventh season.

Since then, the years have passed, and rather than a new burst of episodes, a feature film projectfinally came to tickle Davis' brains, before being officially announced to the public in 2021. A news which, of course, delighted the fans, before the latter were slightly disappointed when they learned that Dylan O'Brien would not be returning to the film. Subsequently, it is Arden Cho, the interpreter of Kira Yukimura who will also decline to participate in the film because of salary racism.

The rest of the original cast, on the other hand, will indeed be there, and it would seem, given the first trailer unveiled by Paramount+, that this one looks promising.

Teen Wolf: The Moviewill therefore tell the story of a threat that has returned to hover over the town of Beacon Hills. Now it's up to grown-up werewolf Scott McCall (Tyler Posey) to reunite his old pack and rally new allies to his cause in order to defeat this new enemy, who may well turn out to be the most dangerous they've ever had to face.

These first images thus give pride of place to this famous antagonist, whose muffled growl expresses his desire for revenge in voice-over. Some may have recognized it, it is actually the voice of the Nogitsune, the evil entity that took possession of Stiles in the second half of the third season. Added to this formidable enemy are the Onis, terrible creatures originally designed to defeat the Nogitsune, who nevertheless gave Scott and his friends a lot of trouble.

Allison Argent in season 1

But the big surprise of this trailer is the return of Allison Argent, interpreted by Crystal Reed. Scott's first true love and last descendant of the Argents, a family of hunters, the character was killed at the hands of an Oni in the Season 3 finale. A death which precisely left open the question of his reintegration into the plot following the announcement of Reed in the casting of the film. And it would seem, given the last shot of these images, that this one is entitled to more than just flashbacks.

If it raises many interrogations, this first glimpse gives above all a good share of the nostalgic potential of Teen Wolf: The Movie. Indeed, the trailer takes the time to properly reintroduce the viewer to each of the familiar faces of the first seasons: Tyler Hoechlin (Derek Hale), Holland Roden (Lydia Martin), Shelley Hennig (Malia Hale) , Linden Ashby (Sheriff Stilinsi), J.R. Bourne (Chris Argent), Colton Haynes (Jackson Whittemore), Melissa Ponzio (Melissa McCall) will therefore be well alongside Tyler Posey and Crystal Reed.

Enough to promise a nice show when the footage arrives on the Paramount+ platform, even if at the moment, no release date has been communicated. It may be time to rediscover the entire series, which is currently available on Netflix.
