After The Bridgerton Chronicle, we will soon be entitled to the prequel Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, which has just unveiled the first image of the great Lady Agatha Danbury.

Like the great Ryan Murphy, creator of Glee, American Horror Story and a thousand other shows, Shonda Rhimes is one of today's most prolific showrunners and showrunners and it all started with Grey's Anatomy. After the first season aired in 2005, Shonda Rhimes created, wrote and produced a spin-off, Private Practice, before leaving the medical field with Scandal and its seven seasons . With her production company Shondaland, the American has created a veritable empire.

After producing a few other series, including Grey's Anatomy: Station 19 , Shonda Rhimes notably created the very wobbly Inventing Anna, which has also been a hit on Netflix, the new place of residence of the showrunner where she is also preparing a murderous series at the White House. But lately it's good for The Bridgerton Chronicle that the producer was acclaimed.

After two seasons which both monopolized attention and broke a few viewership records on Netflix (still well placed in the top most-watched series in their first month on the platform), the time for the spin-off has arrived. As the name suggests, Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Storywill therefore focus on the youth of Queen Charlotte played by Adjoa Andoh in the main series. The role of young Charlotte was given to actress India Ria Amarteifio and that of her future husband, King George, to Corey Mylchreest.

Other characters from The Bridgerton Chronicle will appear in the spin-off such as Brimsley the butler, played by young Sam Clemmett and of course the best character in the series, Lady Agatha Danbury. The very influential and protective noblewoman of the new Duke of Hastings, Lady Danbury will be played by Arsema Thomas, who can be seen below.

Lady Violet Bridgerton should also be one of the main characters, and it is quite possible that the series also features her late husband Edmund Bridgerton. Michelle Fairley (Games of Thrones, Gangs of London) will also be part of the adventure to play a new role, that of Princess Augusta.

The exact release date has yet to be revealed, but Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story is set to land in 2023, while like the third season of The Bridgerton Chronicle.
