MG 7 is the new flagship model of the British brand. The car is distinguished by its rapid design and rich equipment.
The first images of the MG 7 have hit the Internet. The flagship model of the brand will be presented in August and will go on sale by the end of the year for about $19,000. Autohome reports this.
The new MG 7 is a large D-class hatchback with a length of about 4.8-4.9 m, that is, it is comparable in size to the Toyota Camry. Most likely, they will borrow a platform for it from the younger model MG 6. The production of the model will be launched in China at the facilities of the SAIC concern (it owns the MG brand), but it will also be sold in other countries.
Judging by the teasers and patent images, the MG 7 will become a more affordable alternative to the coupe-like Volkswagen Arteon and Audi A5 Sportback. The car has a swift profile with a sloping roof and a pointed rear. Thin LED headlights are combined with a wide grille. The car also received a retractable spoiler.
A curved display of the virtual instrument panel will appear in the cabin. The MG 7 package promises to be rich – with electric seats and a tailgate, a panoramic roof and a wide range of security systems.
The liftback will receive a 2.0-liter 230-horsepower gasoline turbo engine and a gearbox with two clutches, familiar from the presented in Ukraine crossover MG HS. A hybrid version is also possible.
