Those Poles who heat their homes with electricity can count on a surcharge of up to PLN 1,500. To be able to obtain support, it is necessary to meet the conditions set out by the legislator. What terms are we talking about?

Who can count on the electricity allowance?

Households that use electricity for heating can count on the payment of the energy allowance. The basic condition that must be met is the entry into the Central Register of Emissions of Buildings and the indication of heating devices using electricity as the main source of heat.

Importantly, the energy allowance cannot be used by those households that have photovoltaic panels installed, even when they heat the house with a heat pump. Applications should be submitted between December 1, 2022 and February 1, 2023. Applications received after this date will not be considered.

Energy allowance, what else do you need to know?

The energy allowance is one-off. The legislator provided for its payment in two amounts. PLN 1,000 will be an allowance for those households whose consumption in 2021 did not exceed 5 MWh of annual consumption, PLN 1,500 will be granted to those whose consumption is higher than the above-mentioned threshold.

Conclusion can be submitted in person at the commune office appropriate for our place of residence or electronically. In the latter case, the application is submitted via ePUAP or a trusted profile.
