The carbon allowance in the amount of PLN 6,000 will soon become a fact. Who will be able to benefit from the payout
Soon, two families living at the same address will be able to apply for a carbon allowance separately.
As reported by the portal” Regio House “, the payment of two carbon extras per house, has become a fact. All thanks to the amendment to the existing regulations, which has recently been carried out by the government. What conditions must be met in order for two families living at the same address to be able to use the carbon allowance separately?
Who is the carbon supplement for?
From September 17 this year, you can apply for a carbon supplement in the amount of PLN 3,000. In order to use this money, it is necessary to write to the Central Emission Register of Buildings confirming that the main source of heating is, among others, a coal boiler, a coal stove, a goat or a solid fuel tiled stove.
A few days ago, the Sejm decided to introduce changes to the act on the carbon allowance. The amendment to the act allows all families living under one address to benefit from the carbon allowance. Until now, it was done on a “one-address, one-surcharge” basis.
The Senate is currently working on changes. When they come to an end in the upper chamber of parliament, the bill will be returned to the Sejm, and then will be placed on the desk of President Andrzej Duda. Only when the entire process is complete will municipalities have a legal basis to pay the allowance to all families residing at the same address.
Who is the double carbon allowance for?
Amendments to the act assume that the double carbon allowance will be granted to those households which, although they live at the same address, use two different heat sources, heated by coal. Importantly, these households must have a separate garbage declaration and not have arrears in fees for garbage.
The Act also allows for a solution where families living at the same address and using the same of the furnace, they can apply for a separate number for their part of the house (e.g. in the case of building number 139 it will be changed to 139a and 139b). Importantly, this can only be done until December 30 of this year.
What do you think of the changes?
