The donations are again collected in cooperation with betterplace. This ensures that everyone receives a donation receipt and that the money reaches the clubs. In the past five years, a total of almost 3,350,000 euros has been raised for non-profit organizations.
This year’s main sponsor is Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla from Ubisoft. Microsoft, Techniker Krankenkasse, Republic of Gamers (ROG), Backforce, Twitch, FRITZ! and the Esport Factory as sponsors. During the live stream, various promotions are organized with partners (merchandise shop).
Due to the current pandemic situation, the number of production teams has been greatly reduced, a hygiene concept has been worked out and all people present will have to undergo several corona tests. Mikkel Robrahn, project manager:
“Fortunately, I don’t have to worry about reducing my contacts to the bare minimum. Regardless of whether it’s a pandemic or not, they’re all very disciplined. But our viewers have to be brave now: we have decided to kiss cards off the list of the games. Generally everything where the exchange of body fluids takes place. That will be difficult for us too, but we have to go through it together. ”
