The cheapest new cars in Ukraine during the war
There are many inexpensive budget models left on the Ukrainian car market. For little money you can buy both crossovers and cars with automatic transmission.
The war in Ukraine not only collapsed sales of new cars, but also changed the very structure of the car market. Many models have disappeared from sale – especially for mass affordable cars. However, in the budget segment there is still plenty to choose from.
Before the war, Lada models were the cheapest in Ukraine, but now Russian cars are naturally not sold here. Accordingly, now the cheapest car in Ukraine is Renault Sandero. Focus chose the most affordable car models at the moment.
Renault Sandero – from 371,400 hryvnia ($10,600 at the rate of 35 hryvnia per dollar)
The budget hatchback in the basic version is equipped with a 1.0-liter 73-horsepower gasoline engine and a 5-speed manual transmission. The equipment is pretty good – there is ESP, air conditioning, central locking and an audio system.
Chevrolet Spark – from 377,900 hryvnias ($10,800)
Chevrolet Spark (previously sold as Ravon R2) is the cheapest car with automatic transmission on the Ukrainian market. The compact city car is equipped with a 1.2-liter 85-horsepower engine, but it has no air conditioning.
Renault Logan – from 383,700 hryvnias ($10,960)
The equipment of the Renault Logan is the same as that of the related Sandero, and the engine is the same. But the sedan has a roomy 510-liter trunk.
JAC JS2 – from 391,000 hryvnia ($11,200)
JAC JS2 is the most affordable crossover in Ukraine. Its basic version is equipped with a 1.5-liter 105-horsepower engine and a 5-speed manual. JS2 has not only air conditioning, but also a light sensor, a camera and cruise control.
Chevrolet Nexia – from 400,000 hryvnia ($11,400)
Chevrolet Nexia is a modified version of the well-known Aveo. The base version received a 1.5-liter engine with 106 hp. With. The sedan has ESP, 2 airbags and an audio system, but no air conditioning.
Chevrolet Cobalt – from 405,000 hryvnia ($11,600)
The Cobalt sedan is slightly larger than the Nexia and has a huge 563-liter trunk. It is equipped with the same engine and its equipment is about the same.
Peugeot 301 – from 449,400 hryvnias ($12,850)
The budget sedan in the basic version received a 1.2-liter 82-horsepower gasoline engine and a 5-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes ESP, climate control and power windows. Trunk volume is 506 liters.
Renault Duster – from 459,300 hryvnias ($13,100)
A popular crossover in the initial version does not have an air conditioner, but it has a central lock, a stabilization system and a light sensor. Under the hood is a 1.6-liter gasoline engine with 115 hp. c.
Skoda Fabia – from UAH 463,830 ($13,250)
The new fourth generation Skoda Fabia is equipped with air conditioning, LED headlights and 6.5 from the start inch touch screen. The hatchback is equipped with a 1.0-liter 80-horsepower engine and 5-speed manual transmission.
Citroen C3 – from 479,600 hryvnias ($13,700)
The base Citroen C3 is very well equipped – diode optics, air conditioning, heated seats, radio. The car also has 6 airbags, a stabilization system, lane keeping technology, traffic sign recognition and driver fatigue control.
