The chief hunter for the Nazis will investigate war crimes of the RF Armed Forces
War criminals, according to US Attorney General Merrick Garland, will have nowhere to hide from justice.
The United States and Ukraine created a special group for the investigation of war crimes committed by soldiers of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. This was stated by United States Attorney General Merrick Garland, who arrived on June 21 on a visit to Kyiv.
According to him, the task force will be headed by Attorney Eli Rosenbaum, who is considered the main Nazi hunter in the US Department of Justice.During his visit to Kyiv, Merrick Garland met with the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, Irina Venediktova, and during the meeting, the issue of Washington's assistance in identifying and bringing to justice all those who committed war crimes in Ukrainian territories was raised.
“War criminals have nowhere to hide. The US Department of Justice will use every opportunity to bring to justice those who commit war crimes and other atrocities in Ukraine. Working with our domestic and international partners, the Department of Justice will work tirelessly to bring to justice all those involved to commit war crimes, torture and other serious violations during the conflict in Ukraine,” the U.S. Attorney General was quoted by CNN.
Merrick Garland also announced the dispatch of several Justice Department representatives who will advise Ukraine on Russia's possible evasion of international sanctions.
