The developers, Activision Blizzard has postponed the launch of the new season of Call of Duty because of the protests in the U.S., which began after the death of the African-American George Floyd at the time of arrest by the police.
On the transfer of Modern Warfare, Warzone and the Mobile company announced on the official page of Call of Duty on Twitter.
“We are all looking forward to the new season in Modern Warfare, Warzone and Call of Duty: Mobile, but now is not the time for this. We’ve moved the start of the fourth season of Modern Warfare and the seventh season of Call of Duty: Mobile at a later date. Now is the time for those who advocate equality, justice and change, to be seen and heard. We stand with you”, – stated in the message.
We will remind, the new season of Modern Warfare was to start today, June 3, and update Mobile this week. Activision has not yet announced the new release dates.
Earlier from-for mass protests, the presentations were postponed a number of other companies, including EA and Sony.
As previously reported, Warner Bros. spoke out against racism and provided free access to the drama “to Judge according to conscience”.
