The driver of a Kia Forte is wanted for the fatal hit-and-run in Victoriaville

Around 5:00 a.m., a passerby discovered the body of an inanimate man who was on Arthabaska Boulevard West.

The Sûreté du Québec is asking for the public's help in identifying a suspicious vehicle following a fatal hit and run, which occurred Saturday morning in Victoriaville. A 23-year-old man was fatally struck on Arthabaska West Boulevard near Parc de la Halte.

The police are looking for a white Kia Forte car, damaged in the front on the passenger side. The vehicle is believed to have been built between the years 2014 and 2017.

A passerby made the gruesome discovery of the victim's lifeless body around 5 a.m. His death was declared at the hospital.

A 23-year-old man died Saturday morning following of an alleged hit-and-run in Victoriaville.

Police were still at the crime scene at midday on Saturday to learn more about the sequence of events. The major crimes investigation division of the SQ took over the case.

Re-enactors in collision investigation came to the scene.
