The Fiat 500X crossover will be larger and more spacious inside, as well as get new options. An electric version will appear in the model line for the first time.
Fiat is developing the second generation of the 500X. The compact crossover should be presented in 2024. This became known to the journalists of the Carscoops website.
The current Fiat 500X crossover has been produced since 2014, that is, it is one of the oldest models in the line of the Italian brand. Prototypes of its new generation are being tested, and now renders of the model have hit the Internet.
The new Fiat 500X will change a lot. The crossover will grow to about 4.4 m in length, that is, it will rise a class higher. The design will retain retro features and will be designed in the spirit of the Fiat 500 electric car. In particular, the characteristic round headlights will remain.
A virtual instrument panel will appear in the cabin. The list of active safety systems is also expected to expand.
The Fiat 500X crossover will be built on the Stellantis CMP platform, like the Citroen C4, the new Jeep Avenger and the Opel Mokka. It will receive 1.2 and 1.5 liter petrol turbo engines, supplemented by a 48-volt hybrid unit, but there will be no more diesel versions.
But the Fiat 500X electric car is expected. Most likely, such a crossover will receive a 156-horsepower engine and a 54 kWh battery from the Peugeot e-308. Its power reserve will be about 400 km.
