Among the The most anticipated series of 2023, the series The Last of Us is already at the top of the list. Adapting a video game is a risky bet, but the trailer for The Last of Us proved that the game's post-apocalyptic universe had undeniable cinematic qualities. Expectations are high among fans of the games, who are no doubt hoping for a more successful adaptation than that of Uncharted, a film adapted from the game Naughty Dog, the same company that developed The Last of Us.

But there are some nice people behind the HBO series to make sure the adaptation is done right. Neil Druckmann, the man behind the games, is showrunner alongside Craig Mazin, the creator of the Chernobyl series. If the casting choice divides some aficionados, Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey, respectively Oberyn Martell and Lyanna Mormont in Game of Thrones, will play the two main characters, Joel and Ellie.

According to the show's Twitter account, The Last of Us will be at CCXP, a festival taking place in São Paulo based on San Diego Comic-Con, and to celebrate, they've shared a new and very short clip in which the two heroes are hiding from an infected, a clicker more precisely.

Consisting of nine episodes, the series will land on HBO Max on January 15, 2023 in the United States. For the moment, we still don't know on which platform The Last of Us will be visible in France.
