“When it started, Nastya immediately began to help with humanitarian aid. She could not stand aside. Her character, a sense of justice haunted her. She was indignant: why are men going, but women are not? went to the Donbass, as she wanted. We were shocked by her death, because we didn’t know that she had gone on a special operation. It turned out that our brave Nastya made a decision, she didn’t tell us anything. She just said that she was on a business trip,” Anzhelika said. Anastasia's sister.
At the same time, some Russian media call Savitskaya “the first female soldier” who died in the war, while others note that she died “along with her fighting friend.”
Some write that the place of Savitskaya's death is unknown, but others report that it happened in the Kherson region occupied by the RF Armed Forces.
According to the media of the Russian Federation, Anastasia Savitskaya went to Ukraine along with a certain Svetlana. Both of them were signalmen, served in the same military unit. They accompanied various cargoes and “provided communication with the driver.”
