And Jean-Luc Mélenchon replied in German “Maul zu, Frau Merkel. Frankreich ist frei! (“Shut up, Madame Merkel! France is free!”). In the aftermath, he offered one of the world's most respected leaders to sweep outside his door first: “Take care of your poor and your ruined equipment!”
A year later appeared his pamphlet “Bismarck's herring”, a real diatribe against Germany which, he denounced, wants to impose its budgetary rigor on France, the European Union does not being only a Trojan horse allowing him to impose his vision of the world
