The new Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 will launch on November 16
Activision-Blizzard revealed new information about “Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0” and “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II” on Thursday during its Call of Duty: Next event.
It's official: the new version of the popular free game Call of Duty: Warzone will be available from November 16th. Activision-Blizzard made the announcement on Thursday during its Call of Duty: Next event.
The title, called Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0, will stay true to its original concept – a large-scale battle royale where small teams must compete to win the game – but will feature several changes that promise to freshen up the gameplay experience.
Players will be parachuted into Al Mazrah, a new map with desert landscapes dotted with cities, industrial areas and rivers. The latter will also be the scene of a new type of battle: aquatic combat, sometimes propelled by swimming, sometimes by motor boats.

Also new: The gas circle forcing viewers closer as the game progresses will become a sandstorm in Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0. Occasionally, this will split into several distinct areas, isolating players into multiple groups, before reassembling them for a final late-game battle.
Fans of the game will also be able to compete against computer-controlled characters, who will watch over specific areas of the map and protect valuable objects.
Activision-Blizzard took advantage of its Call of Duty: Next event to confirm the arrival of a new game mode called DMZ. The extraction game, similar in concept to Escape from Tarkov, will offer players to acquire weapons, complete objectives and evacuate the map to a specific location. It will be available for free with Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0.
