The new feature that puts your WhatsApp chats in order, once and for all

Managing WhatsApp discussions can quickly become a headache. To help its users better organize these discussions, WhatsApp already offers Communities, which allow you to organize discussions within a group of users by theme, like on Slack or Discord. WhatsApp also offers filters, which allow you to sort unread messages, favorites, or even groups. And to improve this organization, the messaging service has just launched a new feature: lists.

With this new feature, it is possible to create personalized lists, to find your way around even more easily. For example, a user can create a list for discussions with neighbors, another list for family, and another for close friends. Recently announced, this feature is currently being rolled out. And if it is already available on your smartphone, you can use it by looking for the “+” button that appears at the top of the discussion list, after the filters.
By pressing this “+” button, you can create new discussion lists. Otherwise, you can, at any time, modify the lists already created by long-pressing the button of the list to modify.

Another way to sort between personal and professional life

WhatsApp is increasingly used in the professional world. And precisely, this feature will also allow users to sort between personal and professional life. Indeed, it will be possible to create lists of discussions and groups with colleagues, which will allow you to only display these discussions, during working hours, for example.

But, of course, the ideal is to have a WhatsApp account for your personal life and another account, with another phone number, for professional activities. And precisely, WhatsApp already allows its users to use two accounts on the same smartphone.

  • WhatsApp recently launched the “list” feature that allows you to sort your discussions by category
  • This is an extension of the feature that allowed you to sort unread messages, groups, favorites, etc.
  • In addition to the fact that this feature helps you better organize chats on WhatsApp, it can also help you sort work messages and personal messages
