The Perez Museum of Art in Miami presented an original art installation on the city beach. The sports Porsche 911 became part of it. This was reported on the website of the German automaker.
The new Porsche 911 was placed in the arm of a giant sculpture of a man in a racing helmet. The real car looks like a toy car. The installation was called Dream Big (“Big Dream”) – this hints that a sports car can be the embodiment of a childhood dream.
The installation was created by British artist and sculptor Chris Labroy. First, he created a three-dimensional computer model of an art object, and then brought it to life in metal and plastic. It will be shown to the public until December 3.
Chris Labroy chose the Porsche 911 for a reason – he is a fan of the German brand. Previously, he had a Porsche Cayman S and GT4 in his garage, but now he has bought a more modern Porsche 718 Cayman GTS 4.0.
This is not the first time Chris Labroy has used a Porsche 911 in his work. He does a lot of 3D work with a sports car, and last year he used a real Porsche 996 for the first time – his body was placed on a huge inflatable swan.
The Dream Big installation is part of The Art of Dreams, which was launched with the participation of Porsche. Within its framework, works have already been presented in Paris, Singapore and Milan.
