The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the whole world
Before the COVID-19 pandemic, about 350 thousand cyberattacks a day were recorded, now this figure has increased to 400 thousand.
Against the backdrop of the coronavirus pandemic, cybercriminals' activity has increased by 20-25%. This was announced on Monday, November 23, by one of the founders of Kaspersky Lab, Eugene Kaspersky, during an online speech at the opening of the World Conference on Internet Governance 2020 in China.
“We live in a very strange time. The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the whole world, as well as changed cybercrime, cybersecurity and all cyberspace, ”the specialist noted.
According to him, before the pandemic, about 350 thousand cyberattacks a day were recorded, now this figure has increased to 400 thousand.
The reason for this situation is that during remote work, not all enterprises can guarantee security on the Internet, which is actively used by cybercriminals.
Microsoft reportedly recorded several hacker attacks from state-affiliated groups in Russia and the DPRK on pharmaceutical companies and coronavirus vaccine developers.
