"The objective is clear, it is to receive in the final stages", "many young people have the opportunity to play"... the best of conf' before Newcastle-MHR

MHS is still undefeated this season in the Challenge. Midi Libre – SYLVIE CAMBON

MHSC, already qualified for the 8th finals, is aiming for a win in England, Friday evening (9 p.m.), in order to finish first in its group.

Three days before the trip to Newcastle for the 4th day of the Challenge, Montpellier's Marco Tauleigne, Jan Serfontein and Joan Caudullo have expressed their ambitions in the competition.

Joan Caudullo (MHR manager): “The objective is clear, it's to receive (in the final stages). Afterwards, until the semi-finals, we have to win matches. I think that my team, to continue to gain confidence, needs to string together matches, it creates emulation in the group and we have very good players in a lot of positions.”

Marco Tauleigne (MHR third row): “There, we really feel that the group is in the same direction. Whether we win or lose, it's one thing, it doesn't matter, it's rugby. But on the other hand, we are all focused. So, the objective is to continue the work that we are building, give the maximum and try to scratch places. I think that everyone is keen to want to always go for more. We must not underestimate this Newcastle team.”

Jan Serfontein (MHR centre): “It's a good competition, for our confidence and for the team's morale. The goal is to win this weekend and make sure we host in the final stages. There are a lot of youngsters who have the opportunity to play, I think everyone has the same desire to play well, to move the team forward and stay in our dynamic. On the other hand, we don't necessarily change our game, we play a pressure game and when there are opportunities, we want to exploit them.”
