As you know, in healthy humans the kidneys are located in the lumbar area, on either side of the spine. Displacement of the kidneys along the spine, 1-2 cm usually does not cause the urologist any questions — this is normal. But when the kidney is displaced to the abdomen or pelvis, and then returns to his usual place at the change of body position — this behavior is considered a deviation from the norm and a reason to undergo examination and treatment.

Experts distinguish these types of nephroptosis:

— 1st degree, when the kidney is palpated only during a breath (on the exhale she’s hiding in the right hypochondrium). At the initial stage of the disease, doctors find it difficult to establish the diagnosis (especially if it is a grown man with no shortage of body weight).

-2-I degree, which is often found in the omission of the right kidney. The kidney emerges from the hypochondrium, only when the person is in an upright position. And when the patient gets up, she hides back. Sometimes it is possible and even necessary to correct hand.

3rd degree – a severe stage of the disease, increasing the risk of developing comorbidities and complications. In this state, the kidney comes out of the hypochondrium in almost any position.

Prolapse of the kidney has the following symptoms:
— dull, intermittent low back pain that appear usually in the second half of the day, which may increase during exercise and subside upon termination of the load or the position of a man lying down. With the worsening of nephroptosis is manifested constant pain that resembles renal colic, which does not vanishes and the position of the patient lying down;
— the appearance of blood in the urine — often appears in the afternoon or after exercise.

And yet this disease can cause these symptoms:
— loss of appetite;
— violation of bowel function;
— mental depression; neurotic disorders;
— heart palpitations;
— insomnia;
— apathy;
— dizziness with nausea.
Feeling pain for the first time, it is better not to wait for the subsequent development of the disease and the emergence of the corresponding symptoms, immediately consult a doctor.

For prolapse of the kidney characterized by such slonenja:

— hydronephrosis;
— kidney stones;

In the early stages of the disease, physicians are advised to wear an elastic bandage. And when the disease becomes severe, doctors use surgical treatment of nephroptosis.
