The special Prosecutor of Switzerland opened a criminal case against the President of the International football Federation (FIFA), Gianni Infantino, said BAGNET, citing Reuters.
He also requested authorization to initiate proceedings against the attorney General of Switzerland Michael Lauber.
The details of the case were not disclosed, but last week Lauber resigned because of the scandal concerning corruption in FIFA. His decision, he explained manifested to his disbelief. Earlier, the court came to the conclusion that Michael Lauber hid meeting with Infantino during the investigation of the case.
Infantino has been in office in 2016. Since 2000, Swiss-Italian origin worked in the Union of European football associations (UEFA), and from 2009 to 2016 was Secretary-General of the organization.
