When will the application for the carbon allowance start?
“Super Express”, from Monday, August 15, it will be possible to apply for a carbon allowance. People who fire their homes with a coal stove can count on an allowance of PLN 3,000.
Coal allowance
On August 5, the Sejm passed a law introducing a carbon supplement. According to the adopted solution, each family that has a registered coal-fired furnace in the buildings' emissivity register as the main source of heating.
At the stage of work in the Senate, senators expanded the catalog of entitled persons to take advantage of the addition, also for people who heat their homes with other fuels. Ultimately, the Sejm rejected them all, leaving support only to those using coal.
Carbon allowance application
The application for the carbon allowance can be submitted from next Monday. It will be possible to do it either by submitting it to the commune office appropriate for our place of residence, or by electronic means via the ceeb.go.pl platform. The payment of the allowance will be made within 30 days from the date of submitting the application.
The application will require you to provide details of your registered address, account number, and information about your main heating source. The latter information must coincide with the declaration submitted to the Central Emission Register of Buildings. You can find the application template here.
The application can be submitted by 30 November inclusive. Estimates show that in Poland there are about 42 percent of households that heat themselves with coal stoves.
