The RTV subscription fee will go up soon. How much will we pay in 2023 and who doesn't have to do it
All about the RTV subscription in 2023.
As the “Interia” portal reminds, the radio and television subscription is a fee that applies to people who have a radio and/or television receiver. However, the legislator provided for exceptions. Who is exempt from the RTV subscription?
RTV subscription in 2023
The RTV subscription should be paid by everyone who has a radio and/or television receiver. This applies not only to the receivers we have at home, but even to the car radio. The subscription is paid monthly, although it is possible to pay it for a few months or for the whole year in advance.
At the moment, the subscription fee for a radio receiver is PLN 8.70 per month, in the case of a TV set it is already PLN 24.50. These rates will change in January 2023. Next year, they will increase to PLN 8.70 and PLN 27.30, respectively. People who pay for the subscription by January 25, 2023 can count on a 10 percent discount.
Who is exempt from the RTV license fee
The legislator has provided for a fairly extensive catalog of persons who are exempt from the need to pay the RTV license fee. The following persons are exempted from the fee:
seniors over 75 years of age
people receiving a social pension
seniors over 60 years of age and the right to a pension
people with the first disability group or with a significant degree of disability
people who are unable to work
people who have an established right to a pre-retirement allowance
< p>people entitled to a care allowance
people who receive a special care allowance
war and military invalids
as well as people who have the status of injured veterans.
Many people call for the abolition of the RTV subscription, treating it as obsolete. Unfortunately, there are no plans to waive this fee at the moment.
