The SPVQ launched an investigation after a report received the day before when the victim was walking towards his school in the city. #x27;Sainte-Foy-Sillery-Cap-Rouge district.
The alleged victim is a teenager. She did not know the suspect who allegedly sexually assaulted her on the street.
According to the first information of this investigation, the suspect could have made other victims. The SPVQ encourages other potential victims to file a complaint for this type of event, whether the events are contemporaneous or not.
The suspect travels mainly by car and does not x27;did not live in the area where the attack allegedly took place, which leads the investigators to believe that it could have taken place elsewhere in the territory.
The investigators of the Major Crimes Module worked in close collaboration with the Youth Intervention and Prevention Unit, the patrollers, the Canine Unit as well as the school attended by the victim, according to the SPVQ.
The suspect is currently in custody. He will have to appear during the day on Friday at the Quebec courthouse.
