The text of the resolution says that Donetsk. Kherson. The decisions taken by Russia on the statue of these territories do not comply with the principles of the UN Charter.
In addition, the UN again confirmed that it is ready to support the sovereignty and independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine within the boundaries in which it was recognized in 1991. The actions of the Russian Federation are criminal in nature and do not change the status of the annexed territories.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has already thanked all the countries that supported the resolution.
“The world has spoken – the attempt to annex the Russian Federation is useless and will never be recognized as free countries,” Zelensky wrote on Twitter.
We also recall that the UN explained why they could not investigate the terrorist attack in Yelenovka. According to the representative of the UN Secretary-General Stephane Dujarric, the mission has not yet been provided with security guarantees. However, he did not specify which side refuses to do this.
