< class="p1">All beneficiaries 6 months of age and older must now provide a certificate proving that they received their COVID-19 immunizations both prior to travel to the United States and upon arrival in the United States, unless they are eligible for an exemption. Previously, people under the age of 5 were eligible for an exemption from the COVID-19 vaccination requirement because the vaccine was not approved or licensed for use in this age group.

Before traveling to USA

To be eligible to travel under the Uniting for Ukraine program, all beneficiaries aged 6 months or older must provide a certificate confirming that they have received at least 1 dose of a vaccine approved or authorized by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) , or a COVID-19 vaccine approved by the World Health Organization (WHO) for emergency use.

After arriving in the US

Upon arrival in the United States, all program participants aged 6 months or older must have a certificate certifying that they have completed or will complete their COVID-19 vaccination series within 90 days of arrival or within 90 days of reaching age eligible for vaccination in accordance with current guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The certificate is a condition for obtaining a humanitarian password and must be completed in the USCIS online account. The beneficiaries are responsible for arranging the vaccination.

Uniting for Ukraine provides citizens of Ukraine and their immediate family members who are outside the United States with the opportunity to come to the United States and temporarily stay for the duration of the password (this 2 years). Individuals participating in the program must have a US sponsor who agrees to provide them with financial support during their stay in the country. Additional information is available on the USCIS Uniting for Ukraine and DHS Uniting for Ukraine pages.
