Just three steps.
Early risers of pets often tire their owners. Scientists have shared the secrets of how to teach a cat not to touch you while you sleep, Ukr.Media informs.
Many people know how furry hooligans like to wake up at dawn and wake up their owners at four in the morning, calling for Igor. This is especially true for young cats. To teach a pet to turn the owner's bed into a playground for games, scientists recommend following a number of rules:
Actively play with the pet every day. It should be done constantly, not a couple of times a week.
"Cats often sleep during the day, and in the evening, when their owners are at home, they are cheerful and cheerful. Play with your pet. Don't just give a toy or a ball, but get involved in the process yourself.
Provide the pet with a hearty dinner and fill the bowl with food. This will make the animal a little more lazy and therefore calm.
Ignore unwanted behavior. The cat touches you with a paw, tries to flirt with a leg sticking out from under the blanket, or meows loudly, calling for your answer. Just don't pay attention: don't try to scare with slippers or distract with treats.
"The ignore method only works if you can devote full time to the pet at other times".
Remember that calls to the owner in the form of meowing can really signal the experienced stress or the development of a disease. This reason can also be a hormonal surge. It may be worth neutering the animal.
Demonstrate the same behavior towards the cat all the time — and gradually the pet will get used to following your rules.
