This economic crisis is different from the last one. Will the amount of work translate into earnings?
Unemployment will not rise, but wages will not be impressive compared to the cost of living.
We are already going through another economic crisis in the last dozen or so years. Portal & ldquo; Dziennik.pl & rdquo; He compared the similarities and differences between them.
We could observe the collapse of the economies of various countries in 2008 & ndash; 2012. Back then, the rise in unemployment was very visible, which jumped from 8 to 12 percent in the European Union. However, this statistic does not fully reflect the tragedy experienced by countries such as Latvia, Ireland, Greece and Spain.
In the latter two countries it was the worst. At the end of 2013, 28 percent of citizens were unemployed in Greece. Spain was struggling with problems two years later. There, unemployment was still more than 20 percent.
Poland had no such problems being outside the euro area, but the statistics showed four percentage points more in this respect.
During this economic crisis, such problems are unlikely to be expected. Employment with us is still growing and there are no problems with finding a job. Nevertheless, it is known that employers will try to save on employees as much as possible.
Their situation will not be improved by rising costs, which will certainly lead to a deterioration in living standards.
