Rumors have been circulating about the iPhone SE 4, Apple's next mid-range iPhone, for quite some time now. As a reminder, the latest version of the iPhone SE was released in 2022, so it would make sense for the next version to be released this year. And in fact, the latest rumors suggest that it should be presented by April. But in the meantime, new unofficial information is circulating on the web. This week, for example, our colleagues at Android Authority relayed a publication by Sonny Dickson (a source who is regularly mentioned by the media), in which he shared photos of alleged mockups of the future iPhone SE 4.

These images show what the back and side of the upcoming iPhone SE 4 could look like. Sonny Dickson's post gives us a glimpse of the design this upcoming iPhone is expected to have, but doesn't reveal any new information. Indeed, we already knew that the iPhone SE 4 should have a more modern design, close to that of the iPhone 16. Furthermore, although the publication does not include a front view of the mockups, it seems that the iPhone SE 4 will no longer have a home button, unlike its predecessor.

48-megapixel camera and Apple Intelligence ?

If Apple does not break with its traditions, the iPhone SE 4 should have the same processor as the iPhone 16, which will be a guarantee of performance. In addition, rumors suggest that this device should also have 8 GB of RAM, which would allow it to support Apple Intelligence. As a reminder, Apple Intelligence is not yet available on iPhones in the European Union. However, Apple has already indicated that it will deploy this feature as early as the first half of 2025.

Otherwise, when it comes to the camera, the iPhone SE 4 is expected to have a single 48-megapixel camera sensor on the back. And while Sonny Dickson doesn’t mention the camera, the images he shared seem to corroborate this rumor. On the other hand, given the number of new features that Apple is expected to bring, it is very likely that the price of the iPhone SE 4 will be higher than the price of the iPhone SE 3 at its launch.
