As you probably know, the iPhone 15 range has an Action button instead of the Ring/Silent button. This way, the user can very easily choose the function associated with the Action button when pressed. This allows, for example, to put the iPhone in Silent mode (as before), but also if desired to access the voice memo, a Magnifying Glass function, the Torch or even a fully customizable Shortcut function. To access this mysterious button, nothing could be simpler, since you just have to go through the Settings box on your iPhone. You must then go to the Accessibility section, then to Touch. Here, you can customize the button by assigning it the function of your choice: Camera, Screen Capture, Flashlight, Lock Screen (or rotation) etc etc…

Better yet, if desired, this feature can be given a dual function “Touch the Back of the’ Device“, with a function to be triggered by double-tapping the back of the iPhone, and another by triple-tapping it. A feature present for several years now on the range, but which we often tend to forget.
And as is already the case with the Action button, it is also possible to make this Touch function much more indispensable, by linking it to a “shortcut” concocted by you. From then on, it is quite possible to launch the taking of photos in the mode that you will have called Photos, your GPS application in the mode that you will have called for example Transit, launch your favorite productivity tool in the Work mode…

As for the future iPhone 16, remember that while smartphones should benefit from thinner bezels, it is also rumored that Apple could equip its Future iPhones with technology that could hide the FaceID sensor under the screen.
