Paris, Sep 11 (EFE) .- The number of people hospitalized in France by covid on Saturday followed the downward trend of recent weeks, and the same happened with those who are being treated in intensive care units.
The health agency indicated on its website that there were 10,018 hospitalized patients today, compared to 10,115 the day before. In the ucis, the decrease in one day was 20 people, up to 2,131.
Hospital pressure in France is thus at the level it was in mid-August. In the second half of July, the number of hospitalized patients had been reduced below the 7,000 mark.
The infections this Saturday also decreased slightly, with 9,601 reported by the authorities after 9,966 the day before.
As for coronavirus deaths, there were 47 in hospitals. Residential death figures are released only twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 115,488 people have lost their lives to COVID in France.
The vaccination campaign continues to advance and today 49,620,948 people had received at least one dose, which means 73.6% of the country’s population. 69.2% already have the immunization schedule completed.
