Toronto continues to dominate when it comes to talent in technology. This is evidenced by research by CBRE Group.
The study showed that the number of technical occupations in Toronto grew by 54 percent from 2013 to 2018, with almost 230,000 jobs in this area.
According to the report, the average income for these jobs has also increased in 2013 by almost 10 percent, amounting to an average salary of $81,828.
Ottawa took the second place after Toronto, when it comes to technical talents, and Vancouver, Waterloo region and Montreal are lagging behind.
To further embrace the growing industry, the study showed that the number of technical degrees in either computer science, mathematics, statistics or a technical engineering, grew by 42 percent between 2012 and 2017 in Toronto.
