
Toronto shooting: man charged with first degree murder

A 37-year-old man has been charged with first degree murder in connection with a December 30 shooting in Scarborough, east Toronto.
The victim is a 34-year-old man.
The shooting occurred in an underground parking lot at the intersection of the road Birchmount and Sheppard Avenue.
The 37-year-old defendant, Devret Clarke, was due to appear in court on Friday.
Police identified the victim as a Torontonian named Gars-Ara Kourjakian. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
