True Detective season 4: first images of investigator Jodie Foster in a teaser
Season 4 of True Detective starring Jodie Foster clarified itself in an HBO Max teaser revealing new images.
True Detective has always benefited from impressive headliners. After the duo Matthew McConaughey for the first steps of the series, Colin Farrell and Rachel McAdams in the second and Mahershala Ali and Stephen Dorff for the third, the program unveiled a legendary actress to carry the fourth season alongside Kali Reis, namely Jodie Foster.
And to direct its two actresses, the proposal was surrounded by an Oscar-winning director: Barry Jenkins (Moonlight, If Beale Street Could Talk). And if it already makes you want, HBO Max revealed in a video announcing the release of its next productions in 2023 first images for the new investigation.
On the program, detectives Liz Danvers and Evangeline Navarro will investigate on the disappearance of six men who work at the Tsalal arctic research station, where the night can last more than 24 hours. Enough to paint an agonizing screenplay arena to plunge its protagonists – and the spectator at the same time – into a concrete darkness, but also that which hides in themselves.
Aesthetics always look sleek and polished. The frames are imbued with a coolness that is felt within the very shots between the clothes, the snow, the big hats, the fleeces and the coats, and that characteristic bluish and icy hue, omnipresent.
Preview revealed case title: Night Country. Also, to accompany the leading duo, are of note in the cast John Hawkes (Winter's Bone), Christopher Eccleston (The Leftovers, Doctor Who ), Fiona Shaw (Killing Eve, True Blood), Finn Bennett (The Nevers) and Anna Lambe (Trickster >).
No additional information has come to precisely define the release date of this new thriller in episodic format. Except for this 2023 wave, we imagine that the attempt will be available on OCS in France. To be continued.
