Twitter Blue has implemented its edit button in Canada
This new feature is offered to subscribers to the Twitter Blue service.
After a test phase, an “edit” button is now available to users Twitter's paid platforms in a handful of countries, including Canada, the platform announced on Monday.
People who subscribe to the Twitter Blue service in Australia, New Zealand and Canada can now correct a tweet up to five times within 30 minutes of posting it, the San Francisco-based company says.
Twitter's paid service launched in June 2021, and costs $6.49 per month in Canada.
Test launched in early September went well, and the feature will be rolling out soon in the US, Twitter added.
Start of the Twitter widget. Skip widget? End of Twitter widget. Back to the beginning of the widget?
You should see it as a brief moment to correct typos, add keywords and more, the firm explained to the blue bird in early September on its website.
A small pen icon should indicate that a tweet has been edited, and the edit history will be accessible.
Elon Musk, currently involved in a legal battle with Twitter regarding the takeover of the platform, had repeatedly supported this request, like many other followers.
People who subscribe to Twitter Blue benefit from advanced features and help us test them before their wider distribution, specifies the social network.
The purpose of this new button is to make more accessible and less stressful about writing posts, Twitter had said.
